West Offaly Lions in conjunction with The Prince Bar Athlone recently held a Tag Rugby tournament in the school pitch in Ferbane. It began on the 28th of May and ran continuously right up until the 9th of July come rain or shine. The turn out for the matches every week was excellent and each team was able to play three different matches each week. The tournament was played on a league format with the finals been played on the 9th of July. Each team got to play in a final from the cup right down to the spoon.
