W.O.L. made their first trip ever to Mullingar last Sunday and played a tough encounter against a fine Mullingar team in cold bright conditions. A much changed team took too long to settle and were down by a couple of scores before they really got into the game, but when they did all the hard work and training that has been done since the start of the season shone through.
Three tries were the product of some wonderful offloading and continuity play with the whole team contributing well both in attack and defence. Good displays from Danny Gleeson in scoring a try also made a telling contribution in defence as did Ian Bracken and the ever reliable Liam Browne.
